I have worked and have been working for many MLM companies and find that there is a patern that always seems to hapen to me ? Herbal Life, ACN, Xango and they are all built around the same marketing strategies. Do you maybe have some tips or ideas for me in regards to gaining more knowledge in the field or perhaps a book you can sugest or perhaps some lead source you may have had succes with? Maybe you would like to share your ideas?

What thechnices have helped your MLM grow

I am not sure there is a true way to build a MLM. I have just started a direct sales business after doing some research on MLM, and I just couldn’t see it being worth the time and effort for a single product line. They all have something good and probably really worth marketing, but the value! The value for the dollar, I don’t see it. I want to be able to give something to the public that even the average family can afford and know that they are really saving money. If you are that frustrated with your MLM, maybe you should look into something that is really worth pursuing and that won’t hurt anyone if it doesn’t work out. When you step back and look at the history of e-commerce, you see that affiliate programs have independently evolved into something very similar to network marketing, which has been around for a long time. Ironically, though, network marketing itself has not taken well to the Internet. Most network marketing companies mistakenly believe that face-to-face interactions are necessary and that recruiting can not be effectively done online. (The research is in, however, and it shows the contrary to be true.) Another factor is that many network marketing companies do not encourage analytical examination of their opportunity, which is inevitable on the Information Superhighway. Thus, most network marketing companies only use the Internet to provide forms downloads and similar services to their existing representatives. They do not effectively use the Internet as a recruiting tool or to sell products to the general public.

Some enterprising independent representatives, however, have evolved the “downline clubs.” Downline clubs sign people up on the Internet, promising to place them in multiple network marketing opportunities based on the order in which they signed up. Downline clubs theoretically offer the possibility of a large organization below you in multiple opportunities without any recruiting effort on your part. In actuality, though, most downline clubs have been disappointing. The greed of the club founders, the hope of instant riches, and the lack of focus due to joining multiple network marketing companies have usually yielded poor results. Training and commitment are lacking, so large downlines (if they get built in the first place) often crumble even faster than they were collected.

Thus, network marketing as we traditionally have known it has not grasped the potential of the Internet and does not appear likely to do so. Plus, and perhaps because of the Internet, the old model of network marketing is less effective in any venue of late.

THE NEW PARADIGM

SFI’s founder, an experienced and successful network marketer, was one of the first to recognize that the old network marketing model quit working for many previously successful marketers around the same time that e-commerce was evolving toward a similar but different paradigm. He realized that an entirely new model was needed. Adding the multitier structure to an Internet affiliate program makes the new e-commerce channel of distribution fully workable. Because of this, SFI has been able to negotiate fantastic savings and commissions for its affiliates from world-class vendors and will continue to attract more and even better deals as SFI continues to grow.

CONCLUSION

The natural evolution of e-commerce has pointed to a multitier commission structure to give life to the new channel of distribution of goods and services created by the Internet. SFI is in the forefront of this new adventure in commerce. SFI embodies the most advanced stage of evolution of e-commerce. As Moore’s Law (discussed in an earlier lesson) ensures the continued growth of e-commerce, history and logic dictate that affiliate programs will continue as the distribution channel for e-commerce. It follows that SFI, representing the most advanced evolution of affiliate programs, will continue to have lasting phenomenal growth and prove profitable for all involved.

Many people who want to make money from home are looking for the best network marketing opportunity. There are keys that make greatly increase the possibility of success.

A lot of people get off on the wrong foot in network marketing. The potential is there with some companies to build a solid income that you can retire on, but only if you have a tested, proven system that works to build your business. And part of that system needs to be an understanding of what prospects really want.

When you deliver real value to your prospects, you have a chance. If you can’t give them what they want, they will keep on looking. What they want is not complicated — they need to see if they like you, and if you like them. They want to know if your system is something they can do. Plus, they need to see whether you can help them.

You definitely need a strong plan to build relationships with people. And then on top of that, of course, you must be able to help them generate a steady stream of leads so they can build their business. If you can show that to them in a step-by-step simple plan, then you have a pretty good chance.

People must know it’s something they can do. Show them you have a simple system that works, and that it’s very easy for them to learn and to teach others. Help them see that they are in a system that is very duplicatable, which is exactly what they’ll need to for long-term success in MLM.

No matter what you do, you’re always best to study a successful model before you try to do it yourself. That goes double in MLM. It’s a good idea to search out a mentor who recently built his or her own successful MLM business. And it really does need to be recently, because the world of marketing has changed a ton, even in just the last 5 years.

Your ideal target is someone with a proven system of recruiting new people. And then you want to be certain that the new people that person has gotten started in the business have also been successful building, using the same system.

It’s important to see first-hand that both the system and the duplication are successful. It may well be a time-consuming search. But when you see exactly what you want, it is certainly a very valuable model for you.

You no doubt get calls from people who promise that if you sign up for their training, then you’ll be able to personally sign up 20 or 25 new people in your downline each week. Yes, that is theoretically possible. But you sure can’t do it if you’re building strong relationships with your people. So you can’t really believe that claim.

To find out for sure, just ask to be put on the line with the 20 people the caller signed up last week. That’s certainly fair. And chances are, that will end the conversation.

The author blows out of the water the widely-accepted idea that you should begin by recruiting friends and family. That plan is a big loser. The high MLM failure rate means you’ll wind up with a lot of family members upset or angry with you, and that’s not good.

And the fact is, you’ll eventually run out of people you know and have to promote to a cold market anyway. So you may as well start there. Save your friends and family for later, after you’ve proven you can build a profitable business. The book is full of very useful ideas.

One of the most pressing questions in network marketing today is:

Where do I find the best leads?

Well the HONEST answer is this:

The BEST (Highest Quality) leads you can get are ones that you generate yourself.

It may not be the answer you wanted to hear but at least it’s an honest answer.

Here’s why…

There are a few issues to deal with when you are buying leads from a lead generation company:

1. You have no clue where the leads came from. For all you know the leads could have come from someone who filled out their contact information on the back of a cereal box and applied to win a free cruise to the Bahamas. I know it sounds like I’m being a little bit of a smart ass, but you’d be surprised how some companies go about getting leads to sell to you

2. The leads are usually (99% of the time) sold to people like you and me over and over and over again. In other words you have to share your leads with others. And the more you share a lead the less valuable the lead becomes

3. You have no clue how fresh the leads are. If I tell you that I have 100 leads less than 30 days old… then how do you know that the leads are less than 30 days old. Also, you have no clue what kind of pre-qualification the leads went through. Did they fill out a form? How long ago was the form filled out?

The basic rule of thumb is this…

The lead generation business is a fierce one, full of people over-promising and under-delivering. But don’t take my word regarding the issue, go ahead and try it for yourself. I know I learned this lesson the hard way!

I’m not saying that there aren’t good lead companies out there; its just that they are few and far between and for a quality lead you can expect to pay in upwards of $10 each.

So, back to the issue at hand

If the best lead is the one that you generate yourself then how do you generate the leads?

Without getting into too many specifics the basic concept is

1. Advertise (online or offline)

2. Pre-Qualify (offer them information regarding your program)

3. Capture (tell them if they want the info they need to leave you their contact information)

Here’s an offline example of lead generation:

1. Place an ad in a newspaper that directs people to a 24 hour recording (preferably a 1-800 number)

2. Record a message that says

“If you want free info on making X-dollars a month then leave your contact info)

3. Save their contact info and give them a ring or send them an email.

Here’s an example on online lead generation.

1. Run google ad words, or some other form of traffic driving.

2. Take people to a “lead capture page” where you tell them that you will email them FREE Information on making money and all they have to do is fill out the form at the bottom of the page

3. Use an auto-responder to capture their contact info and stay in touch with them

Good marketers understand lead generation…and they understand that the BEST lead is the one that you don’t have to share, The BEST lead is one that you create yourself!
