Of course any serious home party business owner has a website, be it personal or company replicated and yet 95% of people don’t have a clue how to generate real traffic and real prospects to a website. So what good is having a website?

1.    Planning: Notice the following Home Party Plan Business.  Party Plan  Model of business.  I find it curious that the essential word here is planning! It is no surprise that when you fail to plan, you are in essence planning to fail.  Have you met an architect who started building without a blue-print?  The leaning tower of pisa though a wonder of the world is a great example of what lack of planning will do.  Planning is an essential step to succeeding in any worthwhile venture. <a href=”http://www.partyplanpat.com”>Most people get involved in MLM/network marketing as a quick fix</a>!

In the planning phase you:

i). Plan your time: Party Plan Pat’s  recommendation is 15-20/week.  10-15 of these hours must be used for direct sales party plan opportunity meetings, home party demonstrations, delivery and follow up of home party sales.  The other 5-10 is for personal development!

ii) Plan your marketing budget ($500-$1500/month).  Statistics indicate that low cost home party marketing efforts take seven times as long to yield results.  A business without a marketing budget is very much like what starvation does to the body, It will die!

iii). Identify those most likely to use your product/service this is called your Target Market.  Contrary to popular opinion, everyone with a pulse and a breath is not your target market. You begin to research marketing methods you will implement. A 5-Point Prospecting is highly recommended.

iv) You create your customer/downline retention strategy.  Planning with a purpose is the secret to success

2.  Action:  Simply said, once you create your plan, you need to work your plan. It has been said that an ounce of action is worth a pound of theorizing.  I know that many home party consultants are frustrated with the rate of growth of their direct sales home party business.  For many consistent home party sales is a dream in a far off place.  I have a question for you Why did you get involved in business?  Surely not to spend all day on the phone dialing for dollars, then waste precious gas chasing after prospects.

Do you have set office hours?  I mean even if the world is coming to an end, do those near and dear to you know not to bother you during your office hours? 

Probably not!  You are too busy responding to emergencies and failing to take care of that which will change your life so that you no longer have to respond to emergencies!

3. Training: Knowledge it is said is power.  Not true.  How many of us know things and yet haven’t seen the rewards of that knowledge.  We all know that a business is the best way to create financial freedom.  You see it is the application of knowledge that leads/equals power. Imagine that you have been informed of your random selection as a Plastic Surgeon. Consider the number of botched cases and the media frenzy. Would you seriously jump into something without the proper training and practice necessary to execute? Invest in yourself! Keep abreast of the latest marketing techniques to improve sales skills. Financial freedom, is not an event, it is a SKILL!

There is no global MLM database that any home-based-business owner can draw from but there IS a strategy to obtain your own 10-20 quality/targeted leads DAILY on a consistent basis. Does article marketing for MLM work?  It sure does and is one of the best ways to generate leads for your business that will cost you our favorite 4 letter word, f-r-e-e!

Article marketing, and sometimes called “bum marketing” because even a bum with no money could use this strategy to generate traffic and maybe even sales, is one of those consistent methods that have been generating free traffic for years and years.

The key to article marketing is not what some people claim, which is to blast your article to thousands of sites. The reason for this is because of the “duplicate content” penalty which will basically discount most of the pages your article is on because there are so many other websites with the same content.  Distribution to thousands of article directories is usually recommended by people who are selling software or services.

We are looking to get free traffic from the article directories so this means that we should be targeting the directories with the highest amount of traffic.  This narrows it down to approximately 10 sites. All the other directories combined probably do not receive 1% of the traffic the others get so it is fairly safe to reduce them.

These directories have a great deal of traffic from people doing research and from organic search engine traffic. They have a very high authority and receive extremely good search engine rankings for even some highly competitive keywords. You can use this to your benefit by writing 400 word articles strongly focused around a particular keyword.

Optimizing your article means you should be putting the target keyword in the title and making sure it is also included in your resource box (bio box).  There was a time when sprinkling your keyword throughout your article was the way to go.  Latent Semantic Indexing, other known as “LSI”, is what will have your article ranked appropriately. Too many repetitions of the keyword could lead to your article being rejected.

At the bottom of your article, you can include a little resource box which acts as the entrance way to your website.   This is aimed at getting you free traffic. The other big advantage is that it has SEO benefits as well so you are killing two birds with one stone.

If you are using article marketing to generate free traffic then your resource box is incredibly important and you should make certain that there is a very strong call to action in there (that means you make people want to click it). Simply typing “This article was written by John Doe who is a network marketing expert” is not going to attract many visitors to click on your link.  It is good for SEO but not for driving free traffic.  A more suitable sentence would be “Not receiving laser targeting leads to your website everyday?  Stop leaving money on the table and head over now to OnlineMLMLeadFormula.com to learn how to drive massive traffic to your website on auto-pilot!”  That link is more likely to get clicked.

Article marketing for MLM is tried and tested and works as well today as it did 10 years ago.  It should definitely be a part of your free traffic campaign.

Since joining IPC, I have had many people ask me if this program is a real home based business opportunity. I tell them all “absolutely it is”

IPC, which stands for Independent Profit Center, is a direct sales program. It is not MLM, network marketing or a 1-up or 2-Up Affiliate Program. It is a
true, legitimate online business.

The plan behind Independent Profit Center (IPC)

I believe Dan Miller, the founder of IPC, had a specific goal in mind when creating the IPC program. I believe he wanted to create a simple program
that would be affordable by almost anyone. And with a $249 total start up cost, he did exactly that.

How it works

Basically, you pay your $249 of which $200 is a commission paid directly to your sponsor and the $49 is a one time admin fee. You then get access to the IPC back office where you have all your training material and over $4000 worth of software products and ebooks (which you also have full resale rights to). Also included in your membership is your very own copy of the Independent Profit Center website. I must admit, this is a really nice site. After you activate your IPC website, follow the step by step marketing program and you will then start to generate leads. These leads are all prospects and hopefully you will convert a good portion of them into direct sales. To give you an example, during my initial testing of the IPC program, I converted approximately every 5 – 7 prospects into a $200 sale.

My overall thoughts of IPC

First and foremost, it is extremely affordable to start up.  The training in the back office is great and offers enough reading material for the next couple of months. If anything, the $249 investment is worth it just from what you will learn in the back office.

All the ebooks with resale rights, are a great tool to help you build a list of money hungry prospects for your IPC business.

And finally, I know the $200 commission doesn’t sound that impressive but the beauty behind it is, it is a much easier program to promote than some of those $1500 or $2000 programs. And, this is also a great “add on” for those people who are already promoting a big ticket program. You can easily send out a half dozen auto responder messages to your prospects that aren’t showing signs of joining your big ticket program and if the hefty investment was the issue, you should be getting most of them joining your IPC business.

I think anyone who is committed to learning and implementing what they have learned, should have no problem building an online income with Independent Profit Center. MY suggestion, for best results with IPC or with any other similar program, you should join under someone who has experience and is already making sales… and above all, is willing to help train you.
