Ronald L. Mallett, PhD is a professor of theoretical physics at the University of Connecticut. He discovered a possible way to travel in time by applying Einstein’s theory of relativity to laser light moving in a circle. The program uses CGI to illustrate his theories. Mallett was one of the first African-Americans to obtain a PhD in theoretical physics. He was inspired to do so because he wished to travel back in time to visit his dead father, who died when Mallett was ten.
HG Wells did it by means of an armchair and a cut lead crystal handle. The Starship Enterprise does it by unfeasibly powerful engines. And Doctor Who managed it in a 1960s police box, of all things. But just what is the truth behind time travel — does modern day physics allow such a venture?

“How would you go about doing that? I mean creating a parallel universe.”
No idea, but it’s the only way I can conceive of solving the whole “back in time and kill your grandfather” paradoxes. This all makes my head hurt.

How would you go about doing that? I mean creating a parallel universe., that seems like it would be impossible, but who know perhaps it could be done. Even though something has already happened if your in the past viewing it as it happens, could you not prevent certain events?

It would not be possible to go back in time and prevent what we know today as world war 2, because world war 2 has already happened. The best you could hope for, I think, is creating some sort of alternate universe that runs parallel to ours in which WW2 doesn’t happen.

Your right, i think it would be possible, and dont you agree we need to be the first to make this happen, what if Iran or iraq got ahold of this, or more yet China or Korea? That would be a disaster, do you think it would be possible to alter history? There’s only one problem, we have to be the first country to discover and use this technology. Imagine if a foreign country invented this first, and used this against us…can you believe what they would do with such a potential weapon?

Not only could we alter the past for the better, but we could travel to the future to discover the cure for many of the deadly diseases that plague mankind today. Okay everyone just think about this for like five seconds. If a time machine was developed in some point and time it would mean it was already developed because we are here right now but if we go back into the past we are also there. So technically there may already be a time machine. The reason why this “Time Machine” Is completely irrelevant is because if there was a time machine our bodies would have to be in so many places at once it’s not possible.

but in theory, the first time this machine will be turned on, there possibly expecting messages from people from our future, if that happend, we would see the golden age of mankind unfold within a few months time, all of the worlds problems would have been solved, no war, no hate, no judgement, the only reason anything like this ever existed at all is because it was ment to, to give us a reason to learn, and make peace with each other, no fighting for natural resources.

the faster you go, the slower time moves, well if light is traveling in a propetual loop, which is what he plans on doing with high powered lasers to reflect light into a spiraling looping pattern, and when he does there will be a bubble of stopped time in the middle, and as long as the machine keeps running, we will be able to record time litterly, thus giveing us the ability to return to the point when the machine was first turned on.

hes going to recreate the process that happens on the edge of a black hole. The area around the black hole doesnt let anything escape, its the highest gravity source in a galaxy, everything is constantly getting sucked into a black hole, well right on the very edge of a black hole is where light itself cant even escape, so it continuously loops around the black hole, they litterly beleive there is no time around a black hole because light and time are interconnected.

see the LHC is a project to help replicate the big bang on a smaller scale, there not actually collideing protons at light speed, as of right now we dont even have the tech to hit light speed. we can only hit 99.99% of the speed of light. light is considered the universal speed limit, but see what ronald is doing is hes not breaking the laws of physics to exceed the speed of light, he going to use light to create this process, instead of haveing to create a black hole.

it would probably cause the golden age of mankind, in which we would no longer need war or violence, because we would have tech from the future almost instantly, they could tell us how to solve the worlds problems and how to survive in a sustainable world, in all honesty this would be the greatest invention of all time, EVER!!. i direct link to the future. and when that happens time no longer rules mankind. when that happens we hit propetual time. and noone ever dies again.
